ISO 9001:2015 certified with documented quality management processes, CMM-verified inspection, First Article reporting, and full material traceability on every job.

Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified with documented procedures governing every stage of production. From contract review and material receiving through final inspection and shipping, each process is controlled, auditable, and continuously improved through internal audits and management review.

Our dedicated 500 sq. ft. climate-controlled inspection room houses a Nikon Altera S 10.7.6 CNC CMM (accuracy from 1.8µm), a Mitutoyo Bright M707 CMM, and a Faro Quantum M portable arm with laser scanning. All tools are calibrated per ISO requirements. Every critical dimension is verified before parts ship.

We provide complete First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, AS9102-format documentation when required, and detailed inspection data packages that include dimensional reports, material certifications, and process records. Procurement teams receive the documentation they need to qualify parts with confidence.

Every material that enters our facility is received with mill certifications and tracked through lot control from raw stock to finished part. We maintain full traceability records so any component can be traced back to its material source, machining operations, and inspection results.

We maintain a formal supplier qualification program to vet and monitor the vendors in our supply chain. Combined with regular internal audits, corrective action processes, and management reviews, our QMS is built for continuous improvement — not just compliance.

Our ISO 9001:2015 certification covers the full scope of our manufacturing operations. The certificate and scope statement are available for download by procurement teams conducting supplier qualification.
Every dimension is verified using calibrated, traceable equipment. Our metrology lab operates independently from the production floor to ensure unbiased results across all inspection protocols.
High-accuracy coordinate measuring machine with multi-sensor capability for complex 3D geometry verification on precision-machined components.
Manual CMM with 28" x 28" x 24" measuring range, volumetric accuracy from 3.5µm + 4.0L/1000, and Geomeasure software for geometric tolerance evaluation.
Portable articulated arm CMM for on-machine verification and large-envelope part inspection without requiring transport to the metrology lab.
Detects leaks below 3×10⁻¹⁰ mbar·L/s with a range from 1×10⁻¹¹ to 1×10⁻¹ mbar·L/s for UHV weldment and chamber verification.
Surface finish and profile verification for tight Ra callouts, ensuring parts meet finish requirements critical to vacuum seal integrity and fatigue life.
Procurement teams and quality engineers need more than parts — they need a complete documentation package that satisfies internal audits and regulatory requirements. Every IMT Precision job ships with the following:
Full CMM-generated inspection data with GD&T callouts verified against your drawing. Reports reference specific datum structures and include measurement uncertainty where required.
Mill certs traceable to heat and lot numbers for every raw material used. Includes chemical composition and mechanical property verification per applicable ASTM or AMS specifications.
Comprehensive first-article documentation per AS9102 format when required, covering design characteristics, material, and process verification for production-run approval.
Complete manufacturing process records documenting each operation, operator sign-off, and in-process inspection results — providing full traceability from raw stock to finished part.
For vacuum assemblies and sealed systems, leak test certification per customer-specified acceptance criteria using our ASM 182T detector with sensitivity below 3×10⁻¹⁰ mbar·L/s.
Tolerances, Inspection & Documentation
IMT Precision routinely holds tight tolerances on features within large machined components, verified in a 500 sq. ft. climate-controlled inspection room. Tighter callouts are evaluated on a feature-by-feature basis depending on material, geometry, and thermal stability.
We use a Faro Quantum M portable arm with laser scanning to inspect large parts in place, either on the machine or on the floor, without requiring transport to the metrology lab. Smaller features and first-article datums are verified on our Nikon Altera S 10.7.6 CNC CMM and Mitutoyo Bright M707 CMM.
Every job ships with a dimensional inspection report, mill certifications traceable to heat and lot numbers, traveler and process records, and when required, a First Article Inspection report in AS9102 format. UHV and sealed assemblies also include a helium leak test report from our ASM 182T detector.
