Precision Machining for Aerospace & Defense Programs

Precision Manufacturing for Flight-Critical Hardware

IMT Precision manufactures large, complex structural and mechanical components for aerospace and defense contractors who operate under the tightest tolerance requirements in the industry. From satellite bus structures and rocket engine housings to radar enclosures and military-grade assemblies, our 30+ years of experience and ISO 9001:2015–certified processes give program engineers and procurement teams the confidence that every part will meet print — the first time.

What We Deliver for Aerospace & Defense

Our capabilities are purpose-built for this sector. We machine ferrous, non-ferrous, and exotic alloys including titanium and aluminum to tight tolerances. With one of the largest CNC envelope capacities on the West Coast — up to 201" x 134" x 42" of travel — we handle the oversized structural parts that most shops cannot accommodate.

We provide full traceability on every job, including mill certifications, lot control, and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation. Our AWS-certified TIG and MIG welders specialize in Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) assemblies used in space-grade and defense-grade sealed systems. And our climate-controlled inspection room with CMM verification ensures dimensional accuracy across every critical feature.

Applications

Satellite structural bus components, launch vehicle brackets and housings, radar and communications enclosures, missile guidance system housings, UHV chamber systems for space simulation, large airframe structural members, and turnkey mechanical assemblies for defense platforms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you machine titanium and other alloy parts?

We machine various grades of aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, copper, some exotic metals and plastics. Every part is inspected in our climate-controlled metrology room using coordinate measuring machines to verify critical dimensions.
