Engineering Support from Concept Through Production

IMT Precision's engineering services help customers solve problems before they become expensive production issues. Whether you need to reverse engineer an existing part with no available drawings, optimize a design for manufacturability, or work through a complex tolerance stack-up, our team has been solving these problems since the early 1990s.

What We Offer

Our engineering support includes design-for-manufacturability (DFM) review, where we evaluate your CAD models and drawings against our machining, welding, and assembly capabilities to identify potential issues and suggest design modifications that reduce cost and lead time without sacrificing performance. We perform reverse engineering on existing parts, creating accurate 3D models and production-ready drawings using portable scanning and CMM equipment.

For customers who need end-to-end support, we can take a project from concept sketch through final production. We work with your engineering team to define requirements, develop machining strategies, select materials, and plan the manufacturing sequence before any chips fly.

File Formats & Collaboration

We accept .STEP, .DXF, .PDF, .IGES, and SolidWorks native files. Our team is experienced in working directly with design engineers, program managers, and procurement professionals to ensure drawings are production-ready and specs are achievable.
